Explore
Portland Head Light sits inside a 90-acre coastal park. You will find walking trails, rocky beaches, and old military forts.
Fort Williams Park surrounds the lighthouse and draws nearly 1 million visitors annually. It operates year-round from sunrise to sunset. Premium lots near the lighthouse charge in season; a free overflow lot is also available.
The park enforces a strict carry-in/carry-out trash policy. Bring a bag for your waste, as there are no trash bins on site.
